About the Library

A Message from the Dean

Welcome to the University of Alabama in Huntsville M. Louis Salmon Library.

Our Library faculty, staff and student assistants look forward to helping you locate the information you need, both in our own collection and elsewhere on the Information Highway.

The many pathways for research at the Library include our book, periodical, and microform collections, online databases and specialized reference tools, and an extensive library of U.S. government publications.

As a part of the Alabama Virtual Library, UAH continues to offer more and more electronic products. A new electronic library wing opened in 2001.

The Library is an active member of state, regional, national, and international library networks to provide the greatest possible access to information for the university students, faculty, staff, and other Library patrons whom we serve.
